Job summary

Swanson Rink, Inc. in Denver seeks an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for data centers, aviation, and commercial/industrial facilities.

You will develop power layouts, one-line diagrams, conduit routing and panel schedules to deliver reliable, code‑compliant solutions. The role requires a ABET‑accredited Electrical Engineering degree, PE registration (or progress toward it) and EI/EIT certification, with 2+ years of consulting engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or willingness to become licensed.
• EI/EIT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for data centers, aviation and commercial/industrial facilities, including power layouts and panel schedules.
• Create electrical one-line diagrams, conduit routing and circuiting.
• Perform short-circuit and voltage-drop calculations; coordinate with contractors on shop drawings and submittals.
• Develop specifications for lighting and power systems; review contractor submittals and provide construction observations.
• Comply with local and national codes, safety standards, and International Building Codes.
• Support project travel for client meetings and field surveys as needed.
• Participate in training events to stay current with industry trends.
• May engage with clients and teams to provide cost comparisons and options.
