Job summary

System One is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Data Center) for a 6-month contract in Canonsburg, PA. This onsite role focuses on delivering detailed design for large-scale data center environments, coordinating with project teams to meet scope, budget, and schedule.

The ideal candidate will have 11+ years of engineering experience, strong communication, leadership, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, with licensure in progress.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineering project teams and field personnel to complete and review projects on scope, budget, and schedule.
• Incorporate schedules, budgets, and project criteria into physical design and layouts.
• Possess a willingness to function in multiple job roles simultaneously.
• Provide guidance and insight into design risk factors for redundancy and resiliency.
• Conduct field surveys, drawings, and other data to assess conditions of existing facilities and develop summary reports.
• Prepare and/or review technical drawings to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.
• Review drawing and modeling production work, including problem analysis.
• Provide guidance to ensure that designs comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Compile data and create engineering studies and reports.
• Perform detailed calculations as needed by the project.
• Mentor, provide guidance, and supervise junior-level engineers and designers.
• Provide training for other technical personnel.
• Coordinate with internal and external clients to determine proper requirements for projects.
• Support business development, including developing scope-of-work, level-of-effort, and site visits to understand the scope of the pursuit.
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with a desire to train and develop early career and/or inexperienced professionals.
