Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing engineering work related to developing custom electrical and control solutions. The role collaborates with departments such as Sales, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to move from concept to production, and supports sustaining engineering for existing products.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop electrical components, harnesses, and systems to meet customer requirements, following standard engineering practices.
- Collaborate with Applications, Mechanical Engineering, and Sales to understand customer needs.
- Perform design tasks accurately and thoroughly within standards.
- Manage direct customer solutions as the key owner.
- Create schematics documenting As-Built wiring for custom designs.
- Organize and utilize CAD data and equipment.
- With approval, release parts and subsystems for production.
- Support continuous improvement and sustaining engineering initiatives.
- Select appropriate design concepts and technologies for new or improved products.
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments, vendors, and customers.
- Ensure work progresses on schedule and resolve issues promptly.
- Adhere to standard engineering principles and practices.
- Assist production with engineering-related issues.
- Promote a culture of compliance and follow the company's Code of Conduct.
- Perform additional projects as needed.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3 years of electrical engineering experience or 7 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to travel to customer and manufacturing sites.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD Electrical, programming (PLDs), and MS Office.
- Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the US.
