Job summary

RTM Engineering Consultants is seeking an electrical designer to create construction drawings and provide ongoing support through the entire construction process. The role emphasizes accurate design elements, load calculations, and collaboration across disciplines to meet project specifications.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years' experience, familiarity with electrical standards, and the ability to work within project hours and parameters while contributing to ongoing process

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in electrical design or related field.
• Understanding of construction processes and interpretation of drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering standards and codes.
• Familiarity with engineering drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Create construction drawings for electrical systems for project owner and construction phase.
• Produce electrical design elements aligned with project specifications and hours.
• Develop load calculations within project parameters.
• Explore design options that meet project requirements and constraints.
• Select equipment suitable for each project type and phase.
• Support post-design activities through construction completion.
• Collaborate with team to improve processes and reduce costs.
