Job summary

US Army Corps of Engineers in the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, Huntington District, seeks an Electrical Engineering Specialist to design electrical systems, equipment, and features for large civil works such as multi-purpose dams, river navigation structures, and pump stations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and/or licensure as a PE.
• Proven ability to apply engineering principles to electrical systems in complex projects.
• Experience in preparing design drawings, specs, and calculations for electrical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, equipment, and features for large civil works projects.
• Prepare preliminary and final designs, drawings, analyses, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with other engineers and contractors to ensure conformance with plans.
• Review shop drawings and verify design assumptions and criteria.
