Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer for a 12+ month contract in Torrance, CA to lead electrical system design for advanced aerospace projects, including electric aircraft and eVTOL components. You will oversee design, development, and testing and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.

Akkodis is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 12+ months contract with a client located in Torrance CA

Pay Range: $80/hr. - $85.00/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Summary:

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you have the unique opportunity to lead pioneering electrical engineering projects in the exciting realms of electric aircraft and eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) systems. In this role, you will oversee the design, development, and cutting-edge implementation of state-of-the-art electrical systems and components that directly influence the performance of innovative flight surfaces components. You will provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to a dynamic team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in aerospace engineering. You'll work side by side with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, driving innovation and enhancing processes to achieve ambitious project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop electrical systems and components

Must Have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or equivalent

Typically, 12+ years working with circuit design integration and test experience

We Value:

Experience with Mentor Graphix Dx Designer, LT spice, Simulink, MATLAB, PSIM or equivalent circuit design tool set

Analog circuit design experience and standard lab equipment (meters, probes, etc.)

Ability to produce white papers to document investigation findings, test results, and outcomes of trade studies

Knowledge of obsolescence parts replacement, identification of substitute parts, and making board level drawing changes

Experience with circuit design, circuit simulation, and analysis at a level required for fault isolation and hands-on troubleshooting

Familiarity with aircraft/aerospace test standards, such as DO-178B, DO-160, or DO-254
