Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer - Building Systems to design power distribution, lighting, and electrical systems for innovative modular buildings used in commercial, multifamily, hospitality, and industrial applications. This role blends traditional building-sector electrical engineering with modern off-site construction, allowing you to design systems that are manufactured, assembled, and tested in a controlled environment before deployment. You\'ll work closely with mechanical, architectural, and fabrication teams to deliver high-quality, code-compliant electrical designs that support rapid, repeatable, and scalable modular construction.

What You\'ll Do
- Design electrical power distribution systems, including panel schedules, branch circuits, feeders, and grounding
- Develop lighting layouts, lighting controls, and photometric calculations
- Prepare one-line diagrams, load calculations, and short-circuit/coordination studies
- Produce construction documents in Revit and coordinate with mechanical, architectural, and structural teams
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IECC, IBC, and local jurisdictional requirements
- Review shop drawings and support fabrication teams during module production
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to standardization of modular electrical design practices
- Lead and mentor electrical designers/drafters
- Support continuous improvement of electrical design templates, details, and workflows
What You Bring
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5-10 years of building electrical design experience (commercial, multifamily, hospitality, industrial, or similar)
- Strong proficiency in Revit (required)
- Experience preparing electrical construction documents, load calculations, and one-line diagrams
- Familiarity with modular, prefabricated, or off-site construction (preferred, not required)
- Ability to lead designers/drafters and coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
