Job summary

ScaleFlux in Milpitas, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer focused on board design and debug to join our rapidly growing engineering team working on breakthrough cloud and data center infrastructure.

You will design, verify, and bring up high-speed boards (PCIe) and collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to move concepts into mass production. Experience with mult-layer HDI PCBs and SI/PI is valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in multilayer board design and debug.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools.
  • Experience with PCIe, Ethernet, SDRAM, NAND interfaces.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform board bring‑up, debugging, and root‑cause analysis using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment.
  • Help design, review schematics and layout for high speed PCIe gen 5+ and multiplayer 14+ HDI PCBs.
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams for system integration.
  • Support prototype builds, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Execute test plans, verification procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant standards for EMC, safety, reliability etc.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and design specifications.

Job description

We are looking for Electrical Engineer, Board design and debug to join our rapidly growing engineering team focused on breakthrough cloud and data center infrastructure solutions involving both storage and computing.

The Ideal candidate should have minimum 3 years’ experience in design and validate multi-layer, high speed boards. Experience working in storage and compute designs is highly desirable. Candidate must have strong communication and documentation abilities.

Job requirements

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Must be able to make informed decisions based on datasheets and specifications with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in product development from concept to mass production.
  • Background in storage or compute is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in fast-paced startup environment.
