Job description

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Board Design & Field Systems Engineer to support new product development, combining deep-board design expertise with system bring‑up and field deployment responsibilities.

THE PERSON

This role acts as a bridge between hardware design, validation, and field engineering, requiring strong end‑to‑end system knowledge and hands‑on debug experience. The candidate will drive platform bring‑up, rapid issue resolution, and customer enablement, while contributing to board design and system development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead board design and development for high‑performance FPGA/ASIC platforms, including schematic design, component selection, and system architecture.
  • Collaborate on PCB layout, SI/PI optimization, and design reviews to ensure robust and manufacturable solutions.
  • Own hardware bring‑up, system stabilization, and complex debugging, including power, SI/PI, and firmware‑hardware interactions.
  • Support DVT execution and perform root‑cause analysis for system‑level issues.
  • Act as technical liaison for field deployments, supporting system integration, customer issues, and real‑world debug scenarios.
  • Provide cross‑stack troubleshooting across hardware, firmware, and system software.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams and external partners to drive integration, issue resolution, and manufacturing readiness.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Strong experience in high‑speed board/system design.
  • Strong expertise in DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, Ethernet, high‑speed interfaces.
  • Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI).
  • FPGA‑based platforms and system integration.
  • Hands‑on experience with board bring‑up and debugging complex hardware issues.
  • Proficiency in EDA tools (Cadence Allegro / OrCAD).
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration and technical leadership skills.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering.
