Job summary

CoAspire is a defense manufacturing leader in Northern Virginia seeking an experienced electrical/avionics manufacturing engineer. You will drive assembly process optimization, cost reduction, and design-for-manufacturability improvements for weapon systems.

The role collaborates with technicians, quality, procurement, and systems engineering to transition products from prototype to high-volume production while maintaining government standards and ITAR compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Experience with cost-reduction and time-improvement programs in aerospace/defense.
• Ability to read and redline schematics, harness drawings, and PCB layouts.

Responsibilities

• Support DFM/DFA reviews to simplify harness designs and standardize components.
• Identify lower-cost connectors, cables, CCAs, and components meeting EMI/ITAR requirements.
• Optimize assembly sequences, tooling, and test procedures to reduce time and labor hours.
