Job summary

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree or equivalent in electrical/electronics engineering.
• Experience with circuit design, electronics testing, embedded systems, or automotive electrical systems preferred.
• Familiarity with EMC/ESD validation and automotive product development is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical and electronic design and evaluation of automotive lighting products and control modules.
• Create and revise schematics, specifications, wiring diagrams, test requirements, and BOMs.
• Perform calculations for power conversion, voltage/current, derating, thermal loading, and circuit protection.
• Assist with component selection for semiconductors, MCUs, LEDs, connectors, and PCBAs.
• Aid prototype builds, PCBA bring-up, bench testing, firmware-hardware integration, and tests.
• Plan validation testing including EMC/ESD, thermal, environmental, and durability evaluations.
• Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, scopes, power supplies, DAQ systems.
• Participate in DFMEA, root-cause analyses, and failure investigations.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on manufacturability and corrective actions.
• Support production test methods and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and update test reports, schematics, specs, validation records, and ECOs.
• Collaborate with R&D, optical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Apply structured problem solving and data analysis to support product development from concept to production launch.
