Job summary

Mestek, Inc. is seeking an experienced automation engineer to design, develop, and manage complex control systems in a fast-paced environment.

You will write PLC code, trouble-shoot issues, and coordinate with mechanical and software teams to ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence. The ideal candidate holds a BSEE/BSME with 3–5+ years in industrial automation, and has hands-on experience with AB, Siemens and B&R PLCs, plus CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• BSEE or BSME with 3–5+ years in industrial automation.
• Knowledge of UL/CSA/CE electrical codes and control devices.
• Experience with AB, Siemens, and B&R PLCs.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD software such as Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and manage automation projects to completion on time and within budget.
• Write and debug PLC code and device drivers for multi-station systems.
• Create master plans, automation strategy and documentation standards.
• Perform root cause analysis and propose effective solutions.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software teams in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Develop test procedures and quality testing tools.
