Job summary

Synapse ITS in Plano, Texas is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop and support our traffic products designed to help visually impaired users safely experience the world. The role covers the full electronic design cycle from requirements to launch, with collaboration across engineering and support teams.

You will work with Altium for PCB/layout, perform circuit simulations, and qualify designs for EMC/EMI compliance, enabling robust, high-quality products.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering
• 5-8 years of experience in electrical/electronic design
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance electronic designs for existing product lines.
• Own the electronic system design cycle from requirements through launch and beyond.
• Design, develop, test and debug electronic designs.
• Interface with a cross-functional engineering team.
• Support the Tech Support team with product knowledge.
• Collaborate in a small company/startup environment to drive velocity and accountability.
