Job summary

STSI (Staffing Technical Services Inc.) is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer II/III for 100% remote work focused on hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities. Qualifications

• 3+ years electrical engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, grounding and life safety.
• Knowledge of NEC, Life Safety and Energy Conservation Codes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for drawings.
• Experience with short circuit coordination and arc flash studies.
• Ability to leverage AI to streamline workflows.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical engineering documents under supervision (50%).
• Use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare drawings and visuals.
• Support pre-construction activities: survey conditions, collect data, prepare documents, edit specs.
• Assist in construction activities: coordinate with PM, review shop drawings and RFIs, close-out docs.
• Prepare project progress reports and maintain logs.

Will learn, through hands-on application, how to design a wide variety of mission critical projects and work closely with the Project Management Team to produce construction documents, develop and edit project specifications and assist in the construction administration process.

The Electrical Engineer II focuses primarily on hyperscale data centers and related mission critical facilities. Will learn, through hands-on application, how to design a wide variety of mission critical projects and work closely with the Project Management Team to produce construction documents, develop and edit project specifications and assist in the construction administration process.

Responsibilities

Assist in Production of Electrical Engineering Documents (50%)

• Perform intermediate to advanced electrical design work under a senior engineer's supervision
• Use AutoCAD and Revit software to prepare drawings and visual aids

Assist in Pre-Construction Activities (15%)

• Survey existing building conditions and prepare technical reports of findings
• Collect data and other information for construction documents
• Prepare project design and construction documents
• Editing and writing of project specifications

Assist in Construction Activities (25%)

• Work as part of the engineering team and interact closely with the project management team
• Review shop drawings and submittals
• Review and respond to RFIs
• Review and complete punch lists and project close out documents

Reporting (10%)

• Prepare project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Update and maintain shop drawing and RFI log

Qualifications

• 3+ years electrical engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical systems found in buildings including single/three phase power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding and life safety systems
• Knowledge of codes and specifications for the design of electrical systems including National Electric Code, Life Safety and Energy Conservation Codes
• Knowledge of technical / design software including short circuit coordination and arc flash studies, equipment sizing and lighting calculations
• Skilled at producing drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD and Revit
• Skilled in performing code analysis including selection of equipment, wiring, etc. to meet code requirements
• Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation.
• Travel up to 10% in the United States
