BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Course work in 3phase power and machines.
• PPE: Hard hat, safety glasses, steeled toe shoes, hearing protection, flashlight.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• Experience with 3- Ø power.
• Experience with Naval power and propulsion.
• Experience with power generation and distribution.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program is required.

WORK HOURS:
