Qualifications

  • Engineer’s License/Stamp REQUIRED. Preferred states include Nevada, but ability to have licenses in other states including Arizona, California and Texas are also desired.
  • Revit software experience.
  • Experience in commercial projects designed for retail, multi-family, hospitality/food service, etc.
  • Modular building experience preferred.
  • Innovative thinking beyond traditional ground‑up/stick‑built construction.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related area preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, IBC, IFC and IECC codes and standards, Federal, State and Local building codes, and other statutory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities; ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical advisor for electrical design and engineering issues on projects.
  • Assist in preparing RFPs, estimates and proposals focusing on site design and costs.
  • Manage development of cost estimates and select material sources.
  • Design electrical systems for construction projects and determine components.
  • Prepare concept, schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
  • Ensure drawings and specs meet project requirements, scope, budget and schedule.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Serve as the technical advisor for defining and solving electrical engineering issues, providing electrical design & engineering services as needed for projects.
  • Assist in preparing RFP’s, estimates and proposals with an emphasis on site design, estimated costs & other criteria.
  • Manage the development of cost estimates and help determine affordable and reliable material sources.
  • Design electrical systems for construction projects, determining electrical elements needed and how they will be incorporated.
  • Prepare concept, schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
  • Ensure drawings and specifications meet overall project requirements as well as project scope, budget and schedule.
  • Conduct code research and incorporate applicable requirements into the design.
  • Periodically perform system tests on electrical systems and devices and complete final inspections to ensure safe operation, accurate power, and compliance with local and national codes.
  • Assist project managers with site-related questions on projects and provide on-site guidance as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • For Full-Time employees, expect to work an 8‑hour shift on average, including weekends if necessary.
  • Reliably commute to Henderson, Nevada, or plan to relocate to the local area before starting work.
