Job summary

Nortek Air Solutions in the United States is seeking an Electrical Engineering Documentation Specialist to support wiring instructions, electrical standards, and related manuals. You will review and update wiring diagrams, Bills of Materials, and data across engineering databases, coordinating with Electrical, Mechanical, and Control engineers to ensure product compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–3 years of post-education experience in a procurement-focused, fast paced, and dynamic environment.
• Knowledge with Electrical SolidWorks and 3D SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and electrical codes.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC System is a plus.
• Ability to learn new techniques and Electrical Standards requirements.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to meet business objectives.
• Capable self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
• Proficient in Math and Computer Skills.
• Basic proficiency with Technical Writing, Technology, Software.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team members for creating the wiring diagrams as well as laying out the 3D electrical components in SolidWorks.
• Reviewing and updating Bills of Materials in Macola System.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Bill of Material and Sales departments to meet project specifications.
• Shop support for Electrical Assembly and Testing with HVAC control system testing and commissioning.
• Understand and implement UL 1995, NFLA-70, UL 60335-1 and UL 60335-2-40 design requirements, methodology and practices.
• Create Electrical Standards or Wiring Instructions for multiple units.
• Establish Data Tag Templates and generate Data Tags for every unit.
• Modify data on the UCA Engineering Database, Product Brochures, Submittal, etc.
• Evaluate wiring practices and components for cost reduction and efficiency while ensuring code compliance.
• Assist Field Service Engineers with Electrical problems and recommend design modifications to prevent malfunctions.

Job Summary

Provides support and assistance for Wiring Instructions, Electrical issues, Electrical Standards, Manuals, etc. Be responsible for reviewing and updating Electrical Wiring Diagram, Bills of Material, and other Documentations while ensuring code compliance.
