Qualifications

• Expert-level experience with Rockwell Automation and Allen-Bradley control systems, including PLC programming, troubleshooting, and startup support.
• Strong knowledge of PackML standards and data validation in SQL databases.
• Experience with Ethernet-based industrial networks, equipment interfaces, and motion control.
• Hands-on machine integration across OEM equipment and line control systems.
• Ability to coordinate with engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, safety, project teams, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Own the line integration scope for startup and commissioning across Tabler Station, WV and St. Louis, MO.
• Support URM recipe database management and UPack configuration; assist in troubleshooting.
• Validate equipment communication and assist with line trials, issue logs, and final turnover documentation.
• Provide technical leadership in electrical and controls startup activities; resolve integration, controls, and network issues.
• Communicate effectively with plant teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

Job description

Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a six-month assignment supporting packing line startup and integration at the two plants - Tabler Station, WV and St Louis, MO. This role will provide technical leadership and hands‑on controls support for line startup, commissioning, integration, recipe management, communication validation, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities include owning the line integration scope, supporting UPack configuration and troubleshooting, managing the URM recipe database, validating equipment communication, supporting electrical and controls startup activities, and resolving controls, network, database, recipe, machine integration, and motion control issues. This role will also support startup checklists, commissioning protocols, issue logs, line trials, testing, and final turnover documentation.

The ideal candidate is a highly technical, hands‑on Electrical Engineer who can manage complex startup activities, troubleshoot integration issues, and communicate effectively with plant teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Expert‑level experience with Rockwell Automation and Allen‑Bradley control systems, including PLC programming, troubleshooting, and startup support
• Experience with PackML standards, SQL databases, recipe management, and data validation Strong knowledge of Ethernet‑based industrial communication, controls networks, and equipment interface troubleshooting
