The Undersea Systems Division at Leidos currently has an opening for an Electrical Engineer in San Diego, CA. Candidate will join a fast-paced team working to design and prototype embedded hardware for rugged ocean systems. Candidate will collaborate with a team of engineers to design and prototype embedded hardware, firmware, and software, and will be directly involved in design, development, and testing of system components, including circuit boards, analog and digital sensors, batteries, and power supplies. Hardware design and layout experience are greatly desired. Candidates will be able to contribute to the team at all stages of design and prototyping, from initial concept development to rapid design and testing efforts, as well as supporting manufacture of engineering prototype systems and planning and executing real-world demonstrations for customers. This position will require the candidate to maintain a Secret Clearance. This position will require the candidate to work an onsite 9/80B schedule (80 hours of work into nine days over a two-week period, allowing for every other Friday off) to align with the NIWC government team.
