Edison Smart is seeking an Electrical Engineer focused on microgrid design to advance resilient power systems. You will develop electrical designs, support DER integration, and work with SCADA/EMS/ADMS/DERMS to ensure reliable real-time operations.

The role emphasizes leading design reviews and coordinating across engineering teams, with opportunities to contribute to project estimates and deployment of power systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with real-time grid management systems (SCADA/EMS/ADMS/DERMS).
• Knowledge of microgrids and power system integration.

$105,000-$155,000 per annum

We’re partnering with a leading engineering and technology solutions provider to recruit an Electrical Engineer with a strong focus on microgrid design and power systems architecture.

This is an opportunity to contribute to complex power and utilities projects, supporting the development of resilient, intelligent energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical engineering designs and technical documentation for power and utilities projects.
• Support microgrid architecture, distributed energy resources and grid management solutions.
• Work with SCADA, EMS, ADMS and DERMS platforms to support real-time power system operations.
• Lead technical design reviews, requirements analysis and system integration activities.
• Support testing, troubleshooting and deployment of power and automation systems.
• Coordinate technical activities with engineering teams and contribute to project estimates and proposals.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with real-time grid management systems, including SCADA, EMS, ADMS and/or DERMS.
• Knowledge of microgrids, distributed energy resources and power systems integration.
• Experience with platforms such as Siemens Spectrum Power, Schneider Electric EcoStruxure, GE Grid Solutions, ABB MicroSCADA or similar.
