Job summary

Cimarron is seeking an Orbital Flight Instrumentation (OFI) Engineer to support Boeing's CST-100 Starliner at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. You will develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements, translate them into designs, and test hardware to ensure performance across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, monitoring supplier performance, and researching advances for program needs.

Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking an Orbital Flight Instrumentation (OFI) Engineer to support the Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft as a part of NASA's Commercial Crew Program at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

  • Work with subsystem teams to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Test and validate hardware to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Mange OFI subsystem RCCA activities and provide status to stakeholders over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
  • Coordinate with hardware and software teams to ensure OFI subsystem integration aligns with program objectives.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • 2 or more years of related experience.
  • Experience in orbital flight instrumentation, particularly in space or airborne systems.
  • Excellent technical documentation review and verification skills.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Experience supporting NASA or aerospace programs.
