Job summary

Aegis - an Airsys Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer with hands-on hardware experience to design electrical circuits and system integration for data center equipment.

You will develop schematics, select components, ensure UL compliance, and support bring-up across servers, racks, PDUs, and networking gear.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in hardware and electrical system design. This role will focus on electrical circuit design, schematic development, component selection, system integration, and support for server- and rack-based engineering systems.

The ideal candidate is familiar with UL standards, electrical schematics, industrial communication protocols, server and rack infrastructure, and is comfortable working directly with hardware during installation, troubleshooting, testing, and system bring-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical circuits, control panels, and electrical systems for engineering equipment and test platforms.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and related technical documentation.
• Select electrical components such as breakers, contactors, relays, power supplies, sensors, connectors, and communication devices.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable UL and electrical safety standards.
• Perform electrical system integration, wiring review, troubleshooting, and hardware validation.
• Support communication and control integration using TCP/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, and other common industrial protocols.
• Support server management and hardware monitoring interfaces, including Redfish.
• Work with servers, racks, PDUs, networking equipment, and related data center infrastructure.
• Participate in system installation, power-up, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with mechanical, controls, software, and test engineers on system-level integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant electrical engineering or hardware design experience.
• Experience creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar software.
• Familiarity with UL standards and basic electrical safety and compliance requirements.
• Good understanding of AC/DC power distribution, protection devices, grounding, relays, contactors, sensors, and control circuits.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP and Modbus communication.
• Specify, configure, and integrate Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and their associated interfaces within material handling systems.
• Familiarity with Redfish, BMC, IPMI, or server management interfaces is preferred.
• Experience working with servers, server racks, PDUs, or data center equipment is highly preferred.
• Strong hands-on skills with electrical wiring, testing, debugging, and system bring-up.
