Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Sidney, Nebraska to lead electrical design for a variety of facilities nationwide. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communications systems for projects ranging from renovations to large-scale upgrades.

The role requires at least 6 years in design, a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Architectural Engineering, and an EIT license.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (electrical focus).
  • At least 6 years of relevant design experience in a consulting/A-E firm.
  • EIT license.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems for buildings and applicable codes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple projects.
  • Comfortable collaborating in a team environment.

A well-established, employee-owned design consultancy is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in building systems design to join its growing team in Sidney, Nebraska. This role involves working on a wide variety of facilities projects nationwide - ranging from modest renovations to large-scale infrastructure upgrades - in both public and private sectors.

You’ll work within a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to develop technical solutions for educational institutions, civic and cultural buildings, military installations, and more.

Job Details
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (with an electrical focus).
  • At least 6 years of relevant design experience within a consulting or A/E firm.
  • EIT license
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems for buildings and applicable codes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • RCDD certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Proficiency in design software including Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience managing client relationships and participating in project planning meetings.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results on deadline-driven projects
