Job summary

CelLink in San Carlos, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between customers and interconnect technologies, driving design, integration, and deployment of power and signal delivery solutions for large-scale compute.

The role partners with hyperscalers and OEMs to translate requirements into manufacturable designs, supports NPI and prototype development, and delivers hands-on guidance during installation and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in applications engineering, product design, systems engineering, or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Proven experience owning CAD designs end-to-end, including detailed drawings and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of power delivery and HV systems.
• Experience performing engineering calculations to support design decisions and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and internal teams on CelLink's advanced interconnect solutions.
• Manage HV designs from concept through build and iteration.
• Collaborate across the ecosystem with hyperscalers, OEMs, ASIC vendors, and contract manufacturers to validate mechanical and electrical integration.
• Translate customer system requirements into robust mechanical and electrical designs, balancing performance, reliability, and manufacturing constraints.
• Perform and interpret electrical performance analyses and first-order calculations to support design decisions and customer discussions.
• Support NPI and prototype development from concept through qualification and production launch.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance during installation, integration, and troubleshooting, both remotely and on-site.
• Create high-impact technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs, tolerances, installation instructions, and design reports.
• Deliver presentations and training to communicate complex technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders.

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll serve as the technical bridge between cutting-edge customers and our advanced interconnect technologies, driving the design, integration, and deployment of high-performance power and signal delivery solutions that enable large-scale compute.

You'll collaborate directly with hyperscalers and OEMs to translate complex mechanical and electrical requirements into manufacturable, reliable products. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role blending mechanical and electrical design ownership, system-level engineering judgment, and customer engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and internal teams on CelLink's advanced interconnect solutions.
• Manage HV designs from concept through build and iteration; previous experience is a must.
• Collaborate across the ecosystem, working with hyperscalers, OEMs, ASIC vendors, and contract manufacturers to validate mechanical and electrical integration.
• Translate customer system requirements into robust mechanical and electrical designs, balancing performance, reliability, and manufacturing constraints.
• Perform and interpret electrical performance analyses and first-order calculations (e.g., current capacity, voltage drop, resistance, inductance, thermal considerations) to support design decisions and customer discussions.
• Support NPI and prototype development from concept through qualification and production launch.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance during installation, integration, and troubleshooting, both remotely and on-site.
• Partner with R&D, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure solutions meet stringent performance, reliability, and scalability requirements.
• Create high-impact technical documentation, including detailed drawings, BOMs, tolerance analyses, installation instructions, and design reports.
• Deliver presentations and training that clearly communicate complex technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in applications engineering, product design, systems engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• Proven experience owning CAD designs end-to-end, including detailed drawings and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of power delivery and HV systems, with the ability to discuss electrical performance tradeoffs confidently.
• Experience performing engineering calculations to support design decisions and customer requirements.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD tools) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both engineering and business audiences.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to customer and vendor sites as needed.

Base Salary:

final salary determined by experience and level. We're hiring for multiple positions and will align compensation accordingly.

Work Environment -

Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to chemicals used to run/maintain machines.
