Job description

CelLink’s ultra-thin, flexible interconnect technology is transforming the way next-generation data centers, EVs, and aerospace systems are built. As part of our engineering team, you’ll have the opportunity to directly influence how the world’s most advanced electronic systems are powered and connected. As an Applications Engineer at CelLink, you’ll be the bridge between cutting‑edge customers and our advanced interconnect technologies, driving the design, integration, and deployment of power and signal delivery systems that make large‑scale compute possible.

You’ll collaborate directly with hyperscalers, OEMs, and semiconductor leaders to translate complex requirements into manufacturable, high-performance solutions. This is a hands‑on, cross-functional role blending mechanical and electrical design, systems integration, and customer engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Be the technical point of contact for customers and internal teams on CelLink’s advanced data center interconnect solutions.
  • Collaborate across the ecosystem, working with ASIC vendors, hyperscalers, OEMs, and contract manufacturers to validate mechanical and electrical integration.
  • Own design execution – create, modify, and optimize detailed 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD tools) to translate customer requirements into manufacturable, high-performance products.
  • Support NPI and prototype development from concept through qualification and production launch.
  • Provide technical guidance during installation, integration, and troubleshooting both remotely and on‑site.
  • Partner with R&D, Product Management, and Quality to ensure our solutions meet stringent performance and reliability standards.
  • Create high-impact documentation, including detailed drawings, BOMs, installation instructions, and design reports.
  • Deliver presentations and training that make complex technical concepts clear to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Uphold CelLink’s culture of integrity, teamwork, and self-discipline in everything you do.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in applications engineering, product design, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical details effectively to both engineering and business audiences.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD-based design for manufacturing (DFM).
  • Strong understanding of power delivery and high-speed interconnect systems.
  • Familiarity with data center architectures, deployment models, and system integration.
  • Excellent project management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, evolving technical environment.
  • Able to travel up to 20% to customer and vendor sites as needed.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with thermal analysis, mechanical/electrical reliability testing, or signal integrity in high-density systems.
  • Background in interconnect or backplane design and understanding of copper-based scaling challenges.
  • Knowledge of AI hardware infrastructure and hyperscaler system requirements.
  • Six Sigma or DFM certifications are a plus.
