Montgomery College is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer in Rockville. This role oversees the electrical design across multiple campuses and involves both leadership and technical expertise in managing electrical projects.
The ideal candidate will hold a Maryland PE license and have a proven background in designing electrical systems in commercial or educational settings. This position offers a salary range of $86,709 to $119,224 annually, depending on experience.
Montgomery College is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert for electrical design across 3 multi‑building campuses. Under the supervision of the College Architect, this role is responsible for power and lighting designs and the supervision of in‑house and contracted construction of electrical, lighting, and low‑voltage building and control systems. This position is ideal for a licensed professional who enjoys owning projects end‑to‑end, partnering closely within internal clients, and seeing their designs move from concept to construction.

The typical work schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This is a grade 33, non‑bargaining, exempt position located at Central Services in Rockville.

Salary range: $86,709 – $119,224 annually. Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity. The maximum salary for this position is $151,740 annually.
