Job summary

A leading electronics manufacturer in Texas seeks an Associate Electrical Engineer to design products for mission-critical facilities. What you would be doing:
  • Interface with suppliers on product design and cost issues.
  • Meeting cost targets and project deadlines.
  • Communicating technical knowledge clearly and understandably.
  • Working with and collaborating in a team environment.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to other team members
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to electrical engineering projects
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and regulations
  • Designing cable assemblies and harnesses. Generate DC and AC system-level schematics.
  • Develop engineering documentation as required.
What we require (Skills and Background):
  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 to 10 years of experience developing electrical products for mission-critical facilities.
  • Solid understanding of AC and DC power distribution circuits, including low voltage 3phase AC circuits, low voltage electrical distribution systems, and associated power management.
  • Knowledge of power systems engineering and system control/metering.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in a variety of engineering concepts and practices including electrical design engineering principles. Ability to understand and resolve moderately complex technical issues is required.
  • Firm knowledge of building ground architecture and grounding techniques.
  • Knowledge of Telcordia, UL, National Electric Code, IEEE, and NEBS standards/requirements.
