Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical distribution design or utility engineering.
• Experience with overhead and underground distribution systems (4 kV - 35 kV).
• Proficiency with power system modeling software (CYME, ETAP, PSS/E).
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or the active ability to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Distribution Engineering: Develop comprehensive engineering designs for overhead and underground distribution systems (4 kV - 35 kV).
• System Analysis: Perform power system studies, including load flow analysis, short-circuit calculations, and protection coordination.
• Documentation & Estimating: Prepare detailed construction drawings, BOM, cost estimates, and maintain accurate project records.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to NESC, IEEE, and client-specific engineering standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support multi-stakeholder projects by coordinating closely with utilities, municipalities, private clients, project managers, and field crews to deliver work on time and within budget.
• Permitting & Regulatory Support: Coordinate with local permitting agencies and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project approval and execution.
• Software Modeling: Utilize specialized engineering software (e.g., CYME, ETAP, PSS/E) for system modeling and design evaluation.
• Design Optimization: Integrate constructability, safety, and long-term system reliability into every stage of engineering design.

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join our team in Pataskala, OH.
