Job summary

TAI is seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer to support and improve plant electrical systems, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency across operations.

You will partner with engineering, maintenance, and production teams on troubleshooting, upgrades, and capital projects while maintaining thorough documentation and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with industrial/manufacturing electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safe work practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and docs.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support design, installation, operation, and maintenance of facility electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, grounding, emergency power).
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, safety, and production to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues affecting buildings, utilities, and equipment.
  • Review diagrams and specs for upgrades and capital projects.
  • Coordinate activities with contractors, vendors, and utilities.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regs, and company policies.
  • Support renovations, upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
  • Contribute to preventive maintenance and reliability initiatives.
  • Participate in root-cause investigations and corrective actions.

Here’s a Glimpse Into Your Day To Day
  • Support the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of facility electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and emergency power systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, safety, and production teams to support plant operations and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues affecting building systems, utilities, infrastructure, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Review electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical specifications for facility upgrades and capital projects.
  • Coordinate electrical activities with contractors, vendors, utility providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Support facility renovations, expansions, equipment installations, and capital improvement projects.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance programs and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for electrical equipment and system failures.
  • Maintain electrical documentation, drawings, records, and asset information.
  • Support equipment commissioning, startup, testing, and validation activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, energy efficiency, safety, and operational performance.
You’ll Be a Perfect Fit If You Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of technical education and relevant experience.
  • Experience working with industrial or manufacturing electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safe work practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting facility infrastructure, utility systems, or manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems.
  • Experience managing or overseeing electrical contractors and service providers.
  • Exposure to PLCs, industrial controls, automation systems, or process equipment.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), EIT, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience supporting capital projects, facility expansions, or major equipment installations.
Compensation And Benefits
  • Pay: $135,000-190,000 Annually (depending on experience)
  • Eligible for overtime pay
  • Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)
