Job summary

Proception Inc. in Mountain View, California, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and validate electrical systems for our robotic platforms.

You will work on high-density PCBAs, motor controllers, power electronics, and high-speed interfaces within tight constraints to improve intelligence, responsiveness, and robustness. The role involves collaborating with mechanical and software teams, supporting bring-up and testing, and contributing to subsystem architectures for cutting-edge

Qualifications

• Solid EE fundamentals with hands-on experience designing, building, and testing high-density, mixed-signal PCBAs.
• Extensive background in sizing and designing power electronics circuitry for high power applications, protection circuitry, and identifying common failure modes.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate PCBAs for compute boards, camera electronics, power distribution boards, battery management systems, sensing boards, and motor controllers.
• Support board bring‑up, system debugging, and diagnostics across the full embedded stack.
• Support system integration and testing.
• Contribute to overall architecture decisions.
• Work closely with mechanical and software teams to validate electrical designs in real robotic systems.

Job description

At Proception, we're building the most dexterous humanoid hands and the most responsive tactile gloves in the world. As an Electrical Engineer, you'll work on the design of electrical systems that handle motor control, power delivery, sensor integration, and real-time communication, all within extremely tight constraints. Your work will directly impact the intelligence, responsiveness, and robustness of our robotic platforms.

Requirements

• 01 Solid EE fundamentals with hands-on experience designing, building, and testing high-density, mixed-signal PCBAs
• 02 Extensive background in sizing and designing power electronics circuitry for high power applications, protection circuitry, and identifying the common failure modes associated with power electronics designs
• 03 Experience with high speed design (PCIe Gen1-5, USB3/4, MIPI, Ethernet)
• 04 Experience with motor controller design (gate drivers, H-bridges, BLDC topologies)
• 05 Familiarity with EMI/EMC mitigation and thermal‑aware layout
• 06 Expertise in schematic and layout design
• 07 (+) Experience with Flex PCB Design
• 08 (+) Experience using LTspice, Python, and Matlab
