Hybrid Role | Robust Benefits | Join a Stable, Global Industrial Leader with Award-Winning Brands
A bit about us:

We are a well-established division of a global, publicly traded industrial manufacturer specializing in advanced capital equipment and automated machinery.

Our products support customers across a variety of industries, including automotive, medical, electronics, and other highly technical manufacturing environments. We combine the resources and stability of a large global organization with the autonomy and accessibility of a smaller business unit.

Our engineering culture is highly collaborative and hands-on, with Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams working closely together to take products from concept through production.

Why join us?

  • Growing organization: Join a business experiencing significant growth and continued investment in its product portfolio.
  • Customer-driven innovation: Work on new products tied directly to real customer needs rather than purely theoretical R&D.
  • Hands-on engineering: Stay close to the equipment and work directly with manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and software teams.
  • Stability: Join an organization known for long employee tenure and low turnover.
  • Career growth: Be part of a promote-from-within culture where engineers can grow into deeper technical or leadership opportunities.
  • Work-life balance: Hybrid schedule with three days per week onsite.
  • Strong backing: Gain the autonomy of a smaller operating division with the benefits and resources of a major global organization.
  • Relocation support: Assistance may be available for candidates relocating to the Lake of the Ozarks area.
Job Details

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to serve as the primary electrical engineering technical lead at our Lake of the Ozarks-area manufacturing facility.

This is a highly visible role supporting new product development and sustaining engineering across three active product lines. You will own electrical system architecture and complex machine designs while partnering closely with manufacturing and cross-functional engineering teams.

The ideal candidate enjoys being close to the product and production floor, solving complex problems, asking questions, and taking ownership rather than working strictly behind a desk.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead electrical engineering efforts for complex industrial and automated equipment
  • Define electrical system architecture and develop electrical designs and schematics
  • Own projects from initial concept through design, testing, and production
  • Design and support control panels, power distribution, machine controls, and PLC-based systems
  • Lead electrical design reviews and provide technical direction on design changes
  • Partner closely with Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Management
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment and perform root cause analysis
  • Manage component obsolescence, ECO/ECN changes, and reliability improvements
  • Ensure designs meet performance, manufacturability, cost, and UL/IEC regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate new components and technologies for future product development
  • Support suppliers and customers on complex technical issues
  • Establish engineering standards and mentor less-experienced engineers
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 4+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, ideally within complex machinery, industrial automation, or automated equipment
  • Strong experience with electrical system and machine design
  • Experience with PLCs, industrial control systems, motion control, and industrial networks
  • Experience designing schematics, control panels, circuits, and power distribution systems
  • Familiarity with UL and/or IEC requirements
  • Experience with new product development and design for manufacturability
  • Sustaining engineering experience, including root cause analysis, ECO/ECN processes, obsolescence, and reliability improvements
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
  • Ability to independently make technical decisions and lead cross-functional projects
  • Hands-on, curious mindset with a willingness to spend time on the manufacturing floor
