Job summary

Experis (Austria) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Electronics Test and Validation team in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on vehicle electronics validation, test plan development, and hands-on bench characterization for ECU programs.

You will collaborate with reliability, design, and firmware teams to troubleshoot hardware/software issues and ensure quality across projects. This is a hands-on, senior-level position aimed at advancing automotive electronics validation capabilities.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent work experience in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electronics characterization and validation testing.
• Experience using lab instrumentation like oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, digital multimeters, etc.
• Very good understanding of Electrical Engineering fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and communication buses.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design verification and characterization test plans for ECU programs with input from reliability, design, and firmware teams.
• Lead the execution of characterization testing plans according to project milestones.
• Own test coverage reports and perform analysis to ensure compliance and quality.
• Perform bench-level characterization at IC and PCBA levels to validate electronic components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot firmware and hardware issues, providing early feedback to design engineers.
