Job summary

Engineering Design & Testing Corp. (EDT) is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a P.E. license to lead investigations of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems on-site in Alabama and surrounding states.

You will assess equipment, document findings, and prepare written reports for clients including insurers and engineers. The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, is licensed as a P.E., and enjoys variety, travel on assignment, and collaborating with

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (not electronics).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• Advanced Technical Education degrees (a plus).
• Computer software capable (e.g., MathCAD, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

Job description

Candidate should reside in the state of South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama or Florida. Candidate will complete inspections on-site.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will conduct and manage investigations involving residential, commercial and industrial electrical systems; examine and assess electrical equipment and components; and conduct fire origin and cause investigations. You will interact with clients and other consultants, manage multiple, unique projects, and prepare written reports summarizing your analyses.

Technical Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (not electronics)
