Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit is required.
• Familiarity with design considerations for hyperscale, edge, and colocation data centers.
• Advanced 3D modeling capabilities, including creating and managing complex Autodesk Revit families with custom parameters.
• Demonstrated understanding of redundancy and resiliency principles within critical facility design.
• Knowledge of data center tier classification systems.
• Experience using BIM 360, Navisworks, Revit worksets, view templates, and project phasing tools.
• Ability to work effectively in environments with evolving requirements and limited initial definition.
• Self-motivated with the ability to meet project deadlines and deliver results.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead the detailed design and development of large-scale data center facilities while adhering to company, client, and project design requirements; may include leading dedicated design teams.
• Complete project assignments within established budgets and schedules while incorporating project requirements, timelines, and cost considerations into facility layouts and designs.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to perform multiple project functions simultaneously.
• Provide technical guidance regarding redundancy and resiliency design considerations and associated risks.
• Conduct field assessments, review drawings, and evaluate existing facility conditions, preparing summary reports as required.
• Develop and/or review technical drawings to ensure designs and installations meet applicable standards and customer requirements.
• Review design and modeling deliverables, including issue identification and resolution.
• Provide oversight to ensure designs comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements.
• Compile technical information and prepare engineering studies and reports.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations as required by the project scope.
