Ready to Power the Future of Engineering?

We’re looking for a Remote Electrical Engineer who’s ready to design, build, and troubleshoot electrical systems for cutting‑edge engineering projects across the United States.

At MapleCraft Engineers, we’re shaping the future of construction and infrastructure, and electrical engineering is at the heart of it all. You’ll be working on projects from concept to completion, designing electrical control systems, power distribution networks, automation solutions, and more.

This role is remote, but you’ll also get the chance to travel to project sites; because nothing beats seeing your designs come to life! If you’re passionate about electrical engineering, problem‑solving, and working on impactful projects, we want YOU on our team.

What You’ll Be Doing
Electrical Design & Engineering
  • Develop, test, and refine electrical systems for construction, automation, and industrial projects.
  • Use AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and other design software to create circuit schematics, panel layouts, and system blueprints.
  • Design power distribution systems (480VAC, 600VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC controls) for various engineering applications.
  • Select and specify electrical components, network I/O devices, and industrial automation hardware.
  • Prepare bills of materials, wiring diagrams, and electrical system documentation.
Project Execution & Troubleshooting
  • Support projects from concept through design, installation, testing, and final commissioning.
  • Work closely with mechanical engineers, controls engineers, and project managers to integrate electrical systems into broader project designs.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting using hand tools and diagnostic meters.
  • Collaborate with installation teams to oversee electrical work, troubleshoot on‑site issues, and ensure project success.
Automation & Control Systems
  • Design and configure PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human‑Machine Interface) systems for automation projects.
  • Work with Allen‑Bradley PLCs, industrial communication networks, and other automation controllers.
  • Develop control panel layouts and communication architecture diagrams.
  • Conduct in‑house testing and on‑site system commissioning at client locations.
  • Meet with clients, contractors, and project teams to define system requirements and develop technical specifications.
  • Participate in design reviews, safety meetings, and technical discussions to improve system performance.
  • Provide customer training and technical support during project turnover and post‑installation support.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Generate project documentation, including functional specifications, descriptions of operation, and as‑built drawings.
  • Maintain accurate engineering worksheets, system layouts, and compliance records.
  • Update designs and blueprints to reflect final installed systems.
What We Are Looking For
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0‑3 years of experience (internship experience in material handling, industrial automation, or engineering projects is a plus).
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and engineering design tools.
  • Knowledge of power distribution, control circuits, industrial automation, and PLC programming.
  • Familiarity with Allen‑Bradley PLCs, industrial control networks, and HMI systems (a plus!).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of communication networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
  • Ability to perform hands‑on electrical troubleshooting using various tools and meters.
Soft Skills & Work Ethic
  • Detail‑oriented and organized – because engineering is all about precision!
  • Self‑motivated and adaptable – able to work independently while also traveling to project sites.
  • Problem‑solver – you anticipate challenges and tackle them with innovative solutions.
