Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Franksville, WI is seeking an experienced design engineer to lead PCBA and power systems development onsite. You will design, analyze, and verify PCBA products, and drive manufacturability improvements with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 4+ years in PCB design, high voltage work, and strong problem solving. Expect collaboration with suppliers and a focus on reliability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of design experience with PCBA design and electrical circuits.
• Experience with engineering analysis and digital simulation (CAD, FEA, statistical analysis, software applications, electrical analysis tools).
• High voltage design experience and power system analysis experience.
• Experience with PCB development tools.
• Product design, DFM/DFA, and manufacturing knowledge.
• Excellent data analysis skills including Microsoft Office.
• Root Cause Analysis problem solving.
• Strong analytical aptitude to troubleshoot analog and digital designs at the component level.
• Project leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Green belt training.
• No relocation is offered; reside within 50 miles of South Milwaukee, WI; Active-Duty Military exempt.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain product designs, BOMs, drawings, and specifications for control systems and protective relays.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes for existing products.
• Resolve production, manufacturing, and testing issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Partner with suppliers and Supplier Quality Engineers to evaluate capabilities, conduct assessments, and approve components.
• Investigate product quality and reliability issues; document findings and support customer communications.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Design for Six Sigma, DFM, and DFA methodologies.
• Perform engineering analyses and simulations using CAD, FEA, and other engineering tools.
• Coordinate product verification, validation, and reliability testing with internal and external laboratories.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve products, processes, and overall performance.

Mandatory Experience:

• No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of South Milwaukee, WI to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
