American IT Systems seeks an experienced electronics design engineer to lead PCBA development for control systems and protective relays. You will design, analyze, and validate high voltage assemblies, work with suppliers, and drive quality improvements across new and existing products.

The role focuses on CAD/FEA simulations, DFm/DFA practices, and cross-functional collaboration to meet reliability standards and regulatory requirements. Based near South Milwaukee, WI, on-site position.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of design experience with PCBA design and electrical circuits.
• Experience with engineering analysis and digital simulation tools (CAD, FEA, statistics, software).
• High voltage design and power system analysis experience.
• PCB development tools experience.
• Product design, DFM/DFA, and manufacturing knowledge.
• Strong data analysis; excellent MS Office skills.
• Root Cause Analysis methods applied to problem solving.
• Analytical mindset for troubleshooting analog and digital at component level.
• Project leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge of Green belt training.
• Geographic requirement: reside within 50 miles of South Milwaukee, WI; relocation not offered.

• Develop and maintain product designs, BOMs, drawings, and specs for control systems and protective relays.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes for existing products.
• Resolve production, manufacturing, and testing issues with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with suppliers and quality engineers to evaluate capabilities and approve components.
• Investigate quality and reliability issues; document findings and support customer communications.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, DFM, and DFA methodologies.

• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Description:

Mandatory Experience:

• Minimum 4+ years of design experience with PCBA design and electrical circuits
• Experience with engineering analysis and digital simulation (CAD, FEA, statistical analysis, software applications, electrical analysis tools, etc....).
• High voltage design experience and power system analysis experience
• Experience with PCB development tools
• Product design, DFM/DFA, and manufacturing knowledge.
• Excellent computer and data analysis skills including Microsoft Office suite.
• Problem solving experience using Root Cause Analysis techniques.
• Strong analytical aptitude to troubleshoot Analog & Digital designs at the component level
• Project leadership skills
• Knowledge of Green belt training
• No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of South Milwaukee, WI to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
