Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering input for UL891 switchboards, UL67 panelboards and UL508A control panels.
• Apply UL and NEC requirements throughout the design lifecycle.
• Guide busbar sizing, routing, insulation and material selection.
• Review power schematics and protective device ratings.
• Support selection of circuit breakers, fuses, transformers, and other power components.
• Collaborate with controls engineers to integrate control circuits.

Electrical Engineer – Power Distribution

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 + Incredible benefits, including a comprehensive bonus package

We’re recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join a fast-growing engineering business developing advanced power distribution systems for AI and data center infrastructure.

This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on UL891 switchboards, UL67 panelboards and UL508A assemblies, working closely with mechanical, controls and manufacturing teams to deliver safe, compliant and reliable high‑power systems.

The Role

• Provide engineering input and oversight for UL891 switchboards, UL67 panelboards and power-focused UL508A control panels
• Interpret and apply UL891, UL508A, UL67 and NEC requirements throughout the design lifecycle
• Provide technical guidance on busbar sizing, spacing, routing, bracing, insulation and material selection
• Review single-line diagrams, one-line diagrams and power schematics, including ratings and protective devices
• Support the selection and validation of circuit breakers, fuses, disconnects, transformers and other power distribution components
• Collaborate with controls and automation engineers to integrate control circuits into power equipment

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• Experience working with electrical power distribution equipment, including switchboards, panelboards, transformers or protective devices
• Working knowledge of UL891, UL508A, UL67 and NEC
• Strong understanding of one-line diagrams and electrical power schematics
• Experience selecting components for UL-listed electrical assemblies
• Familiarity with control circuits and their integration with power distribution equipment
