Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Dallas, TX, to join the product development team focused on power distribution equipment for commercial and industrial applications. Responsibilities include design, analysis, testing, and documentation across UL/IEEE/ANSI/NEC standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, define technical requirements, and support life-cycle engineering from design through manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical equipment or power distribution design.
• Experience with switchgear, switchboards, or control panels.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; AutoCAD Electrical is preferred.
• Strong understanding of schematics, single-line diagrams, and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Job Description

Seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their product development team focused on designing and manufacturing power distribution equipment for commercial and industrial applications. This role will support the full product lifecycle, including design, analysis, testing, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement of switchgear, low-voltage switchboards, power distribution units, and control panels.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical equipment, including switchgear, switchboards, PDUs, and control panels.
• Create electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, bills of materials, and equipment layouts.

• Exposure to manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles.

Work Environment

• Onsite position with flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
• Potential for a hybrid schedule after approximately six months based on performance and business needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
