Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and plan electrical systems for commercial refrigeration equipment. You will develop specifications, modify schematics, and coordinate with engineering, production, and sales to ensure products meet customer needs.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Technology and some refrigeration experience, with strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 1+ years of experience in refrigeration industry preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical specifications for refrigeration products.
• Modify AutoCAD electrical schematics and Bills of Materials.
• Interface with Inside Sales, Engineering and Production to design and engineer equipment.
• Ensure manufacturing, construction, and installation conform to customer requirements.
• Provide and document test results and modify equipment as needed.
• Prepare engineering plans and programs for design, construction, or alteration activities.

Job Title: Electrical Engineer

What we're looking for:

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to design, draw and plan the manufacturing, installation and functionality of electrical systems and controls utilized in the electrical energy portion of commercial refrigeration systems.

What you'll be responsible for in this role:

• Develop electrical specifications for new refrigeration products.
• Lead electrical cost out projects of existing refrigeration racks systems without loss of quality or function.
• Modify existing and create new AutoCAD electrical schematic drawings, as well as Bills of Material for jobs.
• Interface with Inside Sales, Engineering and Production teams to design and engineer refrigeration equipment.
• Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
• Design plans and accurately document the manufacturing, installation, and operation of electric or electronic components, equipment, systems, and machinery.
• Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial and industrial refrigeration uses.
• Design, construct, and test prototype equipment for electrical functionality.
• Interpret blueprints and layouts to verify and plan appropriate electrical needs.
• Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, and installation conform to customer requirements.
• Evaluates, tests, documents result and modifies experimental equipment, concepts, and systems.
• Prepare and correlate short- and long-term engineering plans and programs for design, construction, or alteration of activities.
• Formulate and recommend engineering policies and technical work in accordance with project objectives.
• Approve process specification and design standards.
• Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Experience with software and controls applications, able to write algorithms, deploy and debug application and document for internal and external use.

What are the basic qualifications?

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

What are the preferred qualifications?

• 1+ years of experience in the refrigeration industry
