Job summary

Westrock Coffee in Conway, AR is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, maintain, and improve electrical systems across the facility. You will partner with Operations, Engineering, QA, and external vendors to ensure safe, reliable performance that supports production efficiency and business objectives.

Responsibilities include problem-solving, project planning, documentation, and continuous improvement to drive performance and uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical area.
• Five years of project engineering experience, or equivalent with projects > $2M.
• Proficient reading of Process Flow and P&ID diagrams; ability to read architectural, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical drawings.
• Work with minimal guidance.
• Strong MS Word, Excel, Access, Project, Outlook & Visio skills.
• Advanced CAD capability with AutoCAD LT or similar.
• Formal Project Management training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering guidance in problem identification, analysis, and resolution.
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare thorough technical reports, correspondence, calculations, and sketches.
• Continuously improve engineering knowledge and performance.

Job description

The Electrical Engineer supports manufacturing operations by designing, maintaining, and improving electrical systems, controls, and equipment across the facility. This role provides technical expertise for Maintenance and Reliability processes in the plant while providing support to plant capital projects. Critical to this role is proficiency in troubleshooting, performing system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Electrical Engineer partners with Operations, Health and Safety , Engineering, QA, and external vendors to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant electrical performance that supports production efficiency and business objectives.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems
• Effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities
• Thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches
• Continuous improvement of job-related, engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performance
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Accurate records and files
• Performs other assigned duties as deemed necessary by their supervisor

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or greater in an Engineering discipline (or similar technical area)
• Five years of project engineering experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience managing projects with a scope in excess of (2M dollars)
• Extensive Project Management Experience managing interdisciplinary projects
• Ability to read and develop Process Flow and Piping and Instrumentation diagrams; ability to read and interpret Architectural, Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical drawings
• Work with minimal guidance
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Project, Outlook & Visio
• Advanced understanding and functional use of AutoCAD LT or similar CAD software
• Have good communication skills
• Ability to multi task
• Must have good mathematical skills
• Formal Project Management training preferred

• Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
