Job summary

Embark Recruiting Solutions is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Designer in Columbus, OH to design and program industrial electrical panels/cabinets per custom project specs. The role includes PLC/HMI programming, testing, and commissioning with a focus on quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years experience in PLC-based design, familiarity with AutoCAD, and strong teamwork, detail orientation, and problem-solving abilities. Local candidates preferred for a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred or Associates/technical degree with proven work experience.
• Two years’ experience design of PLC based systems.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC programs.
• Prior experience designing electrical schematics and panels with AutoCAD or equivalent software.
• Ability to work well with a team.
• Willingness to learn.
• Strong mechanical skills and aptitude.
• Excellent organizational, problem solving, and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Rudimentary programing of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and HMIs, Allen-Bradley experience preferred.
• Work with other team members to test and commission projects.
• Create electrical drawings and panel designs including bill of materials.
• Monitor the quality of electrical panels to ensure all workmanship is performed to specifications and standards
• Perform required unit updates and modifications prior to unit shipment as needed.
• Control systems must be compliant with best Electrical practices and required codes.

Our client is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Designer to join their engineering and fabrication shop in the Columbus Ohio location. The Designer will be responsible for designing, and programming industrial electrical panels / cabinets based on specifications outlined per custom project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
