Job summary

Embark Recruiting Solutions is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Designer to join a Columbus OH engineering and fabrication shop. The Designer will create, design and program industrial electrical panels based on project specifications and work with a team to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities include rudimentary PLC/HMI programming (Allen-Bradley preferred), wiring diagrams, bill of materials, testing and commissioning, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes. Travel is minor (<5%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with experience in electrical design.
• Two years’ experience designing PLC-based systems.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs.
• Experience designing electrical schematics and panels with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical drawings and panel designs including BOMs.
• Rudimentary PLC/ HMI programming, Allen-Bradley preferred.
• Test and commission projects with the team.
• Ensure panel quality aligns with standards and specs.
• Travel less than 5% for project work.

Our client is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Designer to join their engineering and fabrication shop in the Columbus Ohio location. The Designer will be responsible for designing, and programming industrial electrical panels / cabinets based on specifications outlined per custom project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Rudimentary programing of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and HMIs, Allen-Bradley experience preferred.
• Work with other team members to test and commission projects.
• Create electrical drawings and panel designs including bill of materials.
• Monitor the quality of electrical panels to ensure all workmanship is performed to specifications and standards
• Perform required unit updates and modifications prior to unit shipment as needed.
• Control systems must be compliant with best Electrical practices and required codes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor degree preferred or Associates/technical degree with proven work experience.
• Two years’ experience design of PLC based systems.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC programs.
• Prior experience designing electrical schematics and panels with AutoCAD or equivalent software.
• Ability to work well with a team.
• Willingness to learn.
