This position, integral to our engineering team, is designed for a professional who thrives in a dynamic, hands‑on work environment. It's important to note that this is not a remote position, requiring the successful candidate to collaborate closely with our team on various innovative projects. The job entails working on unique power and control systems primarily for underwater robotic and electromechanical systems. These are tailored solutions, often meeting the challenging requirements of US Navy and other US government Department of Defense customers. As a Project Electrical Engineer, you'll be immersed in an engineering role that spans the entire creative process from concept, analysis, and design through to assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and testing. This role promises a diverse workload – no two projects are the same, ensuring continuous learning and engagement. Candidates are expected not only to excel in electrical engineering but also to actively participate in the physical construction and testing of their designs, embodying our ethos of "making it work!"

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a system or subsystem lead, responsible for substantial portions of project electrical and control system designs.
  • Generate actionable designs from high‑level, often incomplete requirements with minimal supervision.
  • Exercise strong technical judgement, creativity, and initiative; anticipate system needs and integrate solutions.
  • Conduct and participate in regular design reviews to ensure technical thoroughness and integrity.
  • Work collaboratively with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to architect and materialize functioning systems.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide junior engineers or technicians in achieving project goals.
  • Maintain accountability for results, working independently while knowing when to seek assistance.
  • Demonstrate a continuous desire to grow technical and leadership skills within and beyond assigned tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science or advanced degree from an accredited university in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field/curriculum with an electrical concentration such as Computer Engineering or Robotics Engineering. Significant commensurate experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years practical technical experience in the electrical engineering field, encompassing the entire engineering process from concept to testing, preferably involving complex electrical, electromechanical, or automated/robotic systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Government Department of Defense Security Clearance; active clearances are preferred but not required initially.
  • Must be a US citizen as the position involves work on defense projects subjected to government restrictions.
