Job summary

Career Collective is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design of electrical systems for building projects, including lighting design, power distribution, fire alarm systems, and related calculations.

The role emphasizes energy code compliance, project support, and collaboration with project teams. A degree in engineering or 3+ years of electrical design experience is required, with 2+ years of lighting design and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. EIT/PE preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering design and evaluations for building projects.
• Design lighting systems and perform photometric analysis.
• Perform electrical calculations, including short-circuit analysis and building power load calculations.
• Assist with energy code compliance calculations.
• Analyze existing electrical systems for buildings.
• Prepare drawings and layouts using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Review change orders and provide project engineering support.
• Support project managers and teams with RFIs and submittals.
• Prepare technical construction specifications.
• Participate in site visits and inspections.
• Assist with preliminary design, budget analysis, equipment selection, and life-cycle cost analysis.
• Work with project teams to develop practical, detailed electrical design solutions.

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team and support the design of electrical systems for a variety of building projects. This role will focus on lighting design, power distribution, fire alarm systems, engineering calculations, and project support. Typical projects include commercial, K-12, higher education, hospitals, and other building projects. This is NOT a product design role.

What You’ll Do
