Loud Solutions seeks an Electrical Engineer II to own the spacecraft EPS/PCDU power subsystem, taking it from a small demonstrator to flight. This hands-on IC role requires working with very high-voltage systems and battery health in space environments.
You will design and validate high‑voltage PMAD, manage battery health, and guide hardware through breadboarding, PCB layout, bench tests, and qualification for flight readiness.
Los Angeles, CA (On-site, 5 days/week) · Full-time · $130K–$150K
We’re partnering with an early‑stage space infrastructure startup to find a hands‑on Electrical Engineer II to own the power systems for their newest spacecraft.
Our client builds infrastructure for space. Their latest program is a modular power plant in orbit: satellites and spacecraft will be able to connect to it and draw power. The program has major government grant funding and strong investor interest. The founding team has spaceflight experience from leading space agencies, launch providers and human spaceflight programs. The company is still small, so you’d be on the ground floor of a program that could change how spacecraft are powered.
You’ll be the hands‑on owner of the spacecraft’s electrical power subsystem, taking it from a smallsat demonstrator to flight. This is an individual contributor role for a space‑native engineer who is comfortable with very high‑voltage systems, battery health and how electrical components behave in the space environment. You’ll need the ownership mindset to take on problems and run with them on your own.
