Job summary

Crown Poly, Inc. designs and manufactures patented supermarket packaging products. The role focuses on automation controls for production-scale projects in a plant and office mix environment.

Responsibilities include PLC/HMI programming, electrical troubleshooting, and updating designs within AutoCAD Electrical. The candidate should have strong communication, teamwork, and independent work skills to support continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• MS Electrical Engineering preferred; BS Electrical Engineering minimum.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to learn and understand new equipment with reference to its documentation.
• Knowledge of 3 phase circuits and other power circuitry.
• SolidWorks, C programming and Scripting (preferred).
• Understanding of Ethernet, RS-232, Profibus, CAN, SERCOS protocols (preferred).
• Basic skills: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Power Point, Project.

• Maintain a broad understanding of plant systems with ability to quickly research and learn equipment specifics, then teach to other technical personnel as necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will spend approximately 50% of the time in a manufacturing plant environment and 50% of the time in an office environment. During time spent in the manufacturing plant, this position is subject to moderate noise levels, very light dust, high and low temperatures and other standard elements of a manufacturing environment.
