Job summary

Keystone Engineering Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support expansion across the Western states. The candidate should have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and 5–10 years of experience, with a focus on power systems and design.

The role offers a Hybrid/Remote work environment with occasional site visits, requiring strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant electrical and instrumentation scopes.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
  • 5–10 years of professional experience.
  • Experience with ETAP/SKM and power systems analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Background with power systems design (Low, Medium, & High Voltage).
  • Performs engineering calculations and develops electrical equipment specifications.
  • Ensure design products are compliant with relevant Codes and Standards.
  • Provide concise, factual project designs for effective construction/installation.
  • Ability to perform power systems analysis using modeling software.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, designers, QA/QC, and contractors for E&I scope and deliverables.

Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team as we expand into the Western states.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Montana, Utah, Washington, and/or Wyoming, USA

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Hybrid/Remote

Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required

Responsibilities
  • Background with power systems design (Low, Medium, & High Voltage).
  • Performs engineering calculations and develop electrical equipment specifications.
  • Ensure design product is compliant with relevant Codes and Standards.
  • Provide concise, factual project designs, allowing for effective construction/installation.
  • Ability to perform power systems analysis, including Arc Flash, using modeling software.
  • Works with other disciplines of Engineers, Designers, Construction QA/QC, and contracted contractors for E&I scope and deliverables completion.
  • Interface with client personnel to ensure deliverables details and budget meet expectations.
  • Helpful to have knowledge of both electrical and process instrumentation systems used in plant facility applications.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 5-10 years of professional working experience.
  • Background using ETAP or SKM needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
Experience Preferred
  • PE License.
  • Previous experience in oil & gas industry.
