Storm4 is seeking an Electrical Engineer to help develop next-generation power conversion and energy storage technologies in Bethlehem, PA. You will contribute to architecture, design, and validation of power electronics hardware and embedded systems for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) products.

The role involves collaboration across hardware, software, mechanical, and project teams, with exposure to UL/IEC standards and a mix of new product development and product improvements.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in power electronics product development.
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or grid-connected products preferred.
• Understanding of DC/DC and AC/DC converter design and validation.
• Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and control systems.
• Strong hands-on laboratory skills for testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of power electronics architectures for DC/DC and AC/DC conversion systems in multi-kW applications.
• Design, test, and validate analog and digital circuits for power conversion and communication interfaces.
• Develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for distributed systems utilizing multiple microcontrollers.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and third-party development partners on new product development initiatives.
• Develop and execute board-level and system-level test plans to ensure product performance, reliability, and quality.
• Participate in hardware and software design reviews and support regulatory approvals including UL and IEC standards.

As the company continues to expand its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) portfolio, they are seeking an Electrical Engineer to help develop next-generation power conversion and energy storage technologies.

The Electrical Engineer will contribute to the architecture, design, integration, and validation of power electronics hardware and embedded systems supporting Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) products. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this individual will work closely with hardware, software, mechanical, and project engineering teams to develop innovative and reliable energy storage solutions.

This role offers the opportunity to work on both new product development and existing product enhancements while supporting technologies that serve the growing energy storage, grid modernization, and critical power markets.

• Support the development of power electronics architectures for DC/DC and AC/DC conversion systems in multi-kW applications.
