Job summary

Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group is seeking electrical engineers with a focus on power distribution and control systems to support water treatment, distribution, and infrastructure projects for public agencies and private developers. The ideal candidate will report to a licensed Electrical Engineer, pursue Engineer-In-Training credentials, and participate in developing new workflows to improve project outcomes.

Travel and field work may be required to support projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 0-5 years of experience preparing engineering calculations and conducting research related to power distribution systems or control systems design.
• Experience with ETAP.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, an active listener.
• Organized and neat with excellent note taking skills.
• Field work and/or overnight travel may be required.

Job description

Provost & Pritchard is growing its Electrical Design Services and offering opportunities for electrical engineers with a diversity of experience working on power and controls systems that support water treatment, distribution, and infrastructure projects for public agencies and private developers.

The ideal candidate will have experience with power distribution and control system theory, communication skills, a growth mindset, and will care deeply about improving our community by developing excellent engineered designs. They will be creative and should enjoy creating new systems and processes to improve workflow and work product.

The ideal candidate will report to a licensed Electrical Engineer and will be interested in earning an Engineer-In-Training certificate and Professional Engineering license. Provost & Pritchard is supportive of its employees professional goals and uses the skills and passions of employees to direct the growth of the business and services provided to clients.

Candidates must show an understanding and desire to grow in knowledge of electrical engineering and be able to apply their knowledge in a practical, thoughtful, and efficient manner. Serious candidates must have an interest and/or experience in areas such as:

Bilingual in Spanish is not required but is a plus.
